Teens win Kooskia Days 5K

A pair of fourteen year olds ran the two fastest times in the Kooskia Days Fun Run on Saturday, July 30. Noah Craw, the first male finished the 3.1 mile (5km) course in 21:15. Kennedy (last name not provided), the first female finisher ran the course in 28:00, placing second overall. Craw, a local track athlete, ran a 5:30 mile on the track this spring. Kennedy competes in wrestling at her school in Indiana.

The fun run, a fundraiser for the Clearwater Valley volleyball team, included sixteen humans and one dog who ran or walked the course on Kooskia’s city sidewalks. Entrants began with a clean white T-shirt, gaining a variety of colors as volleyball players and volunteers tossed color powders at them along the way.

Pictured is Melissa Redden, laughing as colored powder hits her shirt.
