KELLOGG — CV’s Daring Cross pinned Tully Reinhardt of Bonners Ferry in the class 138 final during the George Wild Invitational last Saturday, Dec. 11, and ended up with 30 team points. The Clearwater Valley-Kamiah co-op wrestlers won the team title with their 175 points the high total among 17 teams competing, just ahead of Eureka (170.5).

Top placers included Jake Fabbi (second, 132), Anthony Carter (second, 160), Bass Myers (third, 182), and fourth-placers Keyan Boller (126), Anthony Fabbi (145), Payton Wilson (152) and Porter Whipple (220).

Cross’s march to the final involved wins over Lakeland’s Jacob Varner, Kellogg’s Travis Eixenberger and Sandpoint’s Shane Sherrill.

In the girls bracket, CV’s Meg’n Blundell placed third at 138.

For Grangeville, Kadence Beck won the girls 113 bracket, beating Kailee Davis of Priest River, Marlo Kampster of Potlatch and Emma Garman of Sandpoint, and Keira White took first in the girls 132 with a bye, an injury default over Timberlake’s Hannah Weaver and a forfeit over Lake City’s Harley Cate. Holli Schumacher (120) took second in her bracket.

Among the Grangeville boys, Terry Eich scored nine team points at 132, Levi Stowell scored seven at 220 and Lucas Wren scored four at 126.

This Saturday, Grangeville hosts a home meet starting at 9 a.m. Dec. 18.
