Orofino has long been the powerhouse softball team in the Central Idaho League, and they held off the Clearwater Valley-Kamiah co-op team 10-3 and 9-4 Tuesday evening, April 6.
"The girls are playing OK, but struggling with too many errors," CV/K coach Vincent Martinez said. "Our pitching has been good, but we need to fine-tune our fielding."
The Lewiston Tribune reported both games ended in five innings due to time limits. Bridget Breeding, Ariana Davy, Georgia Farnham and Macy Morrow had hits during the first game. Kayliegh Tavernier had two hits during the second game.
Next, the team visits Nezperce on Thursday, April 8, then hosts Genesee on Saturday and Grangeville on Tuesday, April 13.
