Bowlers head to Reno Print E-mail

Local bowlers enjoy national tourney

Sixteen bowlers from Tamarack Lanes (Kamiah) traveled 6-20-13--bowling-tourney---to Reno for the Women’s National Tournament and the Open National Tournament for men and women. They bowled the team event one day and the doubles/singles event the next day. Though no one set the lanes on fire, everyone had a good time which is what it is all about. They also left their money there to be won by someone coming later!

The women’s tournament was held on a 44-lane set up at the Reno Convention Center for this event. The men’s tournament was held at the National Bowling Stadium which has 78 lanes.

It is estimated that 4,900 teams of five women will have bowled in this tournament that started the 13th of April and will end the first of July.

Ten thousand teams 6-20-13-bowling-tourney---mof five men and women will have bowled during the period of March 1 and June 29.

     All 52 states were represented.
