Kubs named preseason favorite

     The Kubs have proven to be a resilient group of young men, managing to shutout Oakley 38-0 in their first game of the season even though they had to spend much of their practice time indoors due to air quality conditions from wildfires.

     The game started out slow with no scores in the first quarter, and then picked up in the second quarter with a touchdown producing pass from Parker Whipple who followed that up by running for a second. Taylor McAlister ramped it up with three more touchdowns covering 89 yards in the last one.
