You’ll See ‘Em In The Woods

Idaho Fish & Game district conservation officer George Fischer offered “a big attaboy” to hunter education instructor Roy Kinner for hosting the fall 2021 Grangeville class. Area volunteers and conservation officers assisted with the field day and several of the evening classes. “We could not do these classes without the help of our volunteer instructors,” Fischer said. “All of the instructors were very impressed with this great group of kids. Students developed skills in firearms safety, wildlife management, hunting techniques, meat care, survival, first aid, wildlife identification, game laws, and ethics — doing the right thing even when no one is looking.”

Fischer added a special “thank you” to the Camas Prairie Bowmen for allowing use of their facility for the field day. Those interested in becoming hunter education instructors are asked to contact the closest regional Idaho Fish and Game office, with the Clearwater Region office open regular hours at 208-799-5010.
