     Congratulations to the Lapwai Lady Wildcats for winning the State Basketball Championship! Whoa, you rock “Cats”!  Now on to the Boy’s District tournament at the Lewis-Clark State College Activity Center. Good luck to the Kamiah Kubs and CV Rams!

     The “Meet & Greet” NPTEC (Nez Perce Tribe Executive Committee) Primary Candidate forums will be Thursday, March 5, at the Pi-nee-waus building in Lapwai; Thursday, March 12, at the Teweepuu Center in Orofino and March 26 at the Wa-a’yas building in Kamiah. All forums will begin with potluck at 5:30 p.m. All NPTEC candidates are encouraged to attend. Donations of food, beverages, and table service will be appreciated. All tribal members are welcome to attend! For more information contact Forum Moderator Dallon Wheeler Sr. at 935-5788. Friendly reminder, Primary Election Day is Saturday, April 4!

     Kamiah NMPH Well Child Immunization Round-up was very successful last Thursday! Kamiah NMPH will have Well Child Clinic every THIRD Thursday of the month. If parents have questions regarding their child (children’s) immunizations status, contact Brandi Keen, clinic nurse, at 935-0733 or Susie Ellenwood, Lapwai Maternal Child Health Program, at (208) 843-9375 ext. 2919.  Friendly reminder for parents, please bring your child’s immunization record to Kamiah NMPH if your child has received immunizations elsewhere. The next Well Child Clinic will be Thursday, March 19. The Nimiipuu Health WIC/Nutrition program will be at the Kamiah NMPH Clinic this Thursday, Feb. 26. Julie Keller, registered dietician, will provide nutrition counseling for patients and their families.
