Sincere condolences to the families of cousin Andrea (Teacher Iya) Johns. Iya journeyed to the Happy land to be with her ancestors, June 17, 2014 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center; surrounded by her son Brandon and many family members and friends. Iya's sense of humor, her cheerful laugh and kind smile, will be missed by all that knew her. Prayers of comfort for her son Brandon, foster parents Mark and Michaela Garrison, her Aunt Andrea and Horace Axtell, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Heartfelt condolences to families of Katherine Redheart Powaukee. Katherine was called home to glory Friday, June 27, 2014 with her family by her side at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. Katherine's charm, bright smile and friendly laugh, brightened the hearts of many. Prayers of comfort for her children, grand-children, great grand-children, sister and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed.

Congratulations to our area Spokane Hoopfest teams that won Championships in their brackets! Hat's off to team "Guard Me Maybe." Christian Robbins, Kyle Frei, Trey Dreadfulwater, Damien Forsmann, Coach Abraham Broncheau, and team "Backboard," Trey and Tyce Pfefferkorn and Lane Schilling! You guys ROCK! As usual thousands of players and spectators had a fantabulous time at the Spokane Hoopfest! Talmaks benefit Dinner and sale will be Thursday, July 10, beginning at 12 p.m. Everyone is welcome!

Mark your calendars! Behavioral Health will have a screening of "The meth epidemic" at the Kamiah Nimiipuu health conference room on July 16 at 12 p.m.

Meth, the life accelerator, destroys the body, takes a toll on the mind; robbing users of their physical health and cognitive abilities. They lose their libido, GOOD looks and their ability to experience pleasure.

In this interactive feature, learn how the body reacts to meth and the consequences of long term use. Everyone is welcome to attend! For more information contact Tonia Aripa at 843-7244 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Birthday blessings to Cynthia Blackeagle, Sandra Pena, Darla Jackson, Buzz Cree, Danica Hart, granddaughter Racquel Broncheau and my dear precious daughter Feather Lozon.

To all our Clearwater Progress readers, have a healthy, happy 4th of July weekend!

Yox Kalo (That's all!)
