Donna Withey was born in Cottonwood Hospital in Cottonwood, Idaho, as Donna May Hollingsworth to Clayton Hollingsworth and Jean Barbee Hollingsworth on Feb. 7, 1956. She grew up in Kamiah, Idaho where she attended school and participated in Track and Field, theater, and band where she played the flute.
She later worked for the United States Government for 32 years. During her service to the government, she worked in foreign military sales (FMS), enabling her to travel to countries like Japan, Tunisia, Korea, Germany, Thailand, and the Philippines.
On June 2, 1974, she married Orin Paul Withey and had three children: two sons, Arrin Ray Withey and Paul Frank Withey, and a daughter, Sarah Jean Withey. After seventeen years of marriage, she divorced her husband in 1992. She was then in a relationship with James Archuletta for more than twenty years until his death in 2015.
Donna enjoyed many leisure activities such as camping, bowling, golfing, gardening, cooking, spending time with her family, and making the best jams and jellies on the planet (fact) with fruit grown on her own property.
Donna Withey passed on from this world due to metastatic breast cancer on Aug. 21st in South Jordan, Utah, where she was receiving treatment. She was in the company of her family. She is survived by a brother, Steve Hollingsworth; a sister, Diane Allmon, and her three children, Arrin, Paul and Sarah Withey; as well as a host of other friends and family.
Celebration of life will be held at her home in Kamiah.
