Students from the Kooskia Discovery Center afterschool program spent some time Wednesday, Oct. 13, at Miss Cindy’s Pumpkin Patch on the outskirts of Grangeville. Children traveled by bus with director Wendy Kolb and other chaperones to pick two pumpkins each. Cindy Godfrey said, “This is it. It has frozen and this is the end of the patch for the year. The cows will get the rest.” The Godfreys grew the pumpkins specifically for area children. “The Clearwater Valley kids’ visit was a wonderful way to end the season,” she added. “They were polite and fun and we enjoyed having them.”
