7-24-14-relay-for-lifeThe 2014 Aloha Relay for Life held July 18-19 at Kamiah was quite a success with 155 participants, including 12 teams and 18 cancer survivors. Awards were given for best decorated camp (KEMRU and Good Neighbor Club), team spirit (Strike Out Cancer and Good Neighbor Club), most laps by an individual (Marsha Hall - 164 and Sue Roth - 88), most laps by a team (Strike Out Cancer and Good Neighbor Club), most money raised by an individual (Carolyn Haning - $11,807.50, Lee McDade - $1,582.25, and Marsha Hall - $1,500.56), most money raised by a team (The Clowns - $16,556.93, Good Neighbor Club - $5,022, and St. Mary's and Clearwater Valley hospitals - $2,552.50). Terry Vanderwall Most Inspirational Award went to Greg Johnson. The total amount raised was $60,005. The event also donated 360 cans and 287 lbs. of non-perishable items to the local food banks.
