Man charged with jury tampering

     A trial at Nezperce took an unusual twist when the husband of the defendant was accused of jury tampering and following his arrest, was ordered to be freed by another judge who said he was not given proper due process.

     On May 12 during jury selection for a trial involving Erica A. Patton, who was charged with resisting and obstructing officers, Samuel G. Simonis allegedly purchased a take out pizza and paid for the lunches of three prospective jurors he followed to the eatery during a lunch break.
