Relay kick-off dinner planned at KES April 24

Last year, inmates from the Idaho Correctional Institution in Orofino ran a "Relay for Life" within the prison walls, raising $300 for the American Cancer Society.4-17-14--aloha-relay-for-life-2014

This year, they are planning another event, bringing inmates and prison staff together again for this worthwhile event. The theme this year is "The Aloha."

Running in conjunction with the prison event, the public is invited to the Aloha Relay for Life 2014 Kick-Off being held at the Kamiah Elementary School Multi-Purpose Room next Thursday, April 24 beginning with a 5-6 p.m. open house followed by a "luau" dinner buffet.

The feast will be prepared by Ted Weeks and crew to include Hawaiian Haystacks, potato-macaroni salad, fruit salad, and desserts. There will be a guest speaker, a music DJ, games, and door prizes!

Call JoAnn Ketchum at (208) 816-2197 for details. At this event you will learn the plans for this year's Aloha Relay for Life and how to sign up. There is a cost for the dinner but children ages six and under eat free.
