Lego builders win State Robotics Championship

     It’s hard not to love playing with Legos. The same c1-16-14-l-legoan be said for robots. So what can be better than building Lego robots at school and testing their capabilities at a state championship?

     Kamiah students represented their school and community well this past Saturday when they competed in the FIRST Lego League Robotics State Championship at the University of Idaho at Moscow. FIRST is an acronym meaning For Inspiration and Recognition in Science and Technology.

Kamiah students display their medals and winning trophies for placing at regional and state FIRST Lego League competitions. The group (American Freedom Defenders) recently competed at the state championship in Moscow on Saturday. L-R: Dawson Gorges (eighth grade), Dakota Gorges (sixth grade), Kasey Blair (eighth grade), Jace Sams (fifth grade), and Ryan Blair (sophomore).
