Snowpack limits spring
access to Clearwater Nat’l Forest

north-central Idaho’s national forests are finding the access limited. The
major obstacle is the hefty snow pack.

content that is 140% of average. Frequent storms continue to drop snow in
the mountains while cooler than normal temperatures slow the melt-off
process.
